Founded more than 50 years ago when Fred Pryor pioneered the “One-Day Seminar,” Pryor Learning has become one of the nation’s leading corporate training providers, offering in-person and online training to millions of individuals and organizations—from small and mid-sized businesses to governments and nonprofits to Fortune 500s. In addition to our vast library of on-demand content, we offer thousands of in-person and live virtual seminars taught by engaging, expert instructors—all at a lower price than virtually any other provider in the space.

Our History

In 1970, Fred Pryor asked himself, “Why does continuing career education require so much time and money? What if people could access efficient, affordable business training right when they needed it?” And so was born Fred Pryor Seminars which became known for offering more than a thousand in-person, one-day seminars every month at convenient public venues nationwide.

Over the decades, we have continued to evolve to meet the needs of an ever-changing world and workplace, even acquiring another industry leader known as CareerTrack along the way—but our commitment to timely, accessible training has never wavered. Now known simply as Pryor Learning, we offer an unmatched range of affordable training options (in-person and online, live and on-demand) to individuals and organizations in virtually every industry and sector.

Our Founder

When it comes to exceptional training that generates organizational results, Fred Pryor wrote the book and taught the class. More than 50 years ago, he created a professional development business that would become one of the most impactful training enterprises in the nation.

Born in Excelsior Springs, Missouri (near Kansas City), Mr. Pryor grew up in the 1930s and 1940s, helping out on his father’s farm where he learned the importance of hard work and continuous growth. A lifelong learner, he earned three academic degrees, has served on the Boards of several local and national philanthropic organizations, won numerous awards, and authored the book The Energetic Manager. Now retired, he is enjoying life in Arizona.
